My story with design started not in a classroom, but at Fine Arts Club at IIT Delhi. In my second year, tasked with creating event posters, I discovered a powerful truth: you could speak to people without saying a word. I fell in love with that silent conversation—the ability to communicate an entire idea through layout, colors, and illustrations along with creativity.
That love, however, took a detour initially. Excelling in data and research, I began my career as a Data Scientist at Microsoft. It was surrounded by brilliant engineers and amazing people, there I had my eureka moment "I want to switch my career into design". It wasn't just a hobby; it was a profession that solved real problems. I knew I had to answer that inner calling.
So, I made the leap. I enrolled in a UI/UX program at Caltech, augmenting my education with workshops and conferences, consciously rebuilding my craft from the ground up. For the past eight years, I’ve channeled that foundation into in-house roles at tech companies, specializing in CMS platforms, and SaaS products into clean user flows with intuitive less clicks. I worked with early stages startups as well, thoroughly enjoying the rush of ideation and exploring a mosaic of wireframe solutions.
Looking ahead, my next project is to extend that conversation beyond the screen. I’m starting a YouTube channel and podcast to share this very journey—to demystify the path for professionals hesitating to make their own pivot.
Beyond the monitor, my world is anchored in balance. I am a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and a dedicated practitioner; the daily discipline of yoga and meditation has profoundly multiplied my focus and clarity over the years. You’ll often find me on my classic 350 bike, seeking quiet roads and time with nature. This connection fuels a quieter dream: one day, to cultivate my own farm. For now, I’m focused on designing with intention, sharing my story, and seeing how life beautifully unfolds.
Cheers to life!
